Karen Peck & New River Concert at Baily Park

The Gospel is Golden ministry is pleased to announce a fall Southern Gospel Music Picnic at the Bailey Park shelter house in Camp Point, IL featuring Karen Peck & New River!  One of Southern Gospel Music’s top groups, will be performing on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, at 6:00 pm at the Baily Park shelter house. The park is located on the north side of Camp Point on 102 East Park St. You are encouraged to bring your lawn chairs or set in the provided seating in the shelter house. Everyone is invited and a free will love offering will be collected.

Six-time Grammy nominated, nine-time GMA Dove Award winning Karen Peck and New River has impacted the Gospel Music industry for almost 30 years. In 2018, Karen Peck Gooch was inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame.  New River continues to deliver a progressive sound that is distinctive yet remains true to the traditional styling that has made them a fan favorite. They have been faithfully striving for excellence to make KPNR relevant in today’s society. Collectively, they are more committed than ever to continue to share the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Homemade pulled pork, chicken salad, hot dogs, chili dogs, homemade desserts, and other concessions will be available starting at 4:00pm at the new shelter house with lots of picnic tables available. Please come early to share some great food and fellowship with the community.

Bailey park is a very nice park in Camp Point which is used for many events. Camp Point holds their 4th of July celebration there with a firework display that draws a large crowd. It has two nice shelter houses that are near each other, one will be used for serving food and the other has a large covered stage where the concert will take place.
